David Brown

Dave Brown has led Migration Yorkshire for the last 13 years, growing it to become one of the leading migration organisations in the UK. Migration Yorkshire is a membership organisation of local authorities and supports people and organisations to achieve the most positive outcomes of migration for everyone.

Dave has overseen innovative programmes in the UK and internationally, developing cross-sector partnerships and embedding new ways of working across migration systems. Recently this has included a pilot with government departments to decentralise refugee resettlement.

Dave also chairs the national group of Strategic Migration Partnerships and has initiated a new approach, ‘Migration Support’, to enable best practice to be shared across the UK and to support organisations to adapt to changing communities.
