Katy Crothall

Katy manages WIG’s Talent and Leadership Development function, designed to maximise cross-sector knowledge exchange and build better cross-sector collaboration. She heads up our leadership programmes which are designed to improve leadership capabilities via equipping leaders with cross-sector understanding and a collaborative skillset. Our cross-sector mentoring, work shadowing and secondment programmes, including Charity Next, are all designed to ensure porosity, learning and sharing of best practice. She also heads up our NED and Trustee recruitment services, where we have an exceptional track record for increasing board diversity ( 35% of all placements supported by WIG onto boards in the last 12 months were people with an ethnic minority background, and 49% were women).

Before joining WIG, Katy worked as a Director for Badenoch & Clark, a specialist professional services recruitment company, personally specialising in executive and board level recruitment to Social Housing, Not-For-Profit and Local Government, as well as sitting on their operational board and heading up their corporate social responsibility prorgamme.

She sits as a Trustee on the Charles Russell Speechlys Foundation. And in her spare time, when not looking after her three children, she enjoys swimming, running and skiing.
